Abstract

1279525 Curing epoxy resins INVENTA AG FUR FORSCHUNG UND PATENTVERWERTUNG 1 Sept 1970 [2 Sept 1969] 41801/70 Heading C3B [Also in Division C2] Epoxy resins are hardened by amines of formula: R<SP>1</SP>-NH-R<SP>2</SP>-NH 2 in which R<SP>1</SP> is a C 1-4 alkyl or an aralkyl or aryl radical and R<SP>2</SP> is a C 5-12 alkylene radical, aralkylene, arylene or xylylene radical. Preferred examples are N- methyl-p-xylylenediamine and N-methyldecamethylenediamine, the preparations of which are described (see Division C2). The compositions may be hardened at room temperature, followed by a post-cure, e.g. at 120‹ C.
