Abstract

1278767 Antiskid braking systems KELSEYHAYES CO 4 Feb 1970 [27 Feb 1969] 5273/70 Heading F2F A vehicle skid control system] includes a wheel-speed sensor 10 providing a signal Vw having a magnitude indicative of the wheel velocity which signal is transmitted to a sample and hold circuit 12, a differentiating circuit 16 and a difference circuit 20, the circuit 12, in response to a signal from the brake light switch 24, retaining the magnitude of signal Vw just prior to brake application and providing an output signal Vwl and the circuit 16 supplying a signal, representative of wheel deceleration, to a sample and hold circuit 52, the output of which is fed to a vehicle velocity analogue circuit 28 providing an analogue signal V1 indicative of vehicle deceleration during braking. Signal V1 is fed to a difference circuit 30 together with signal Vwl and the output signal Vv is fed to circuit 20 together with a reference signal Vsr representative of the value of slip at which the brake pressure should be released. The output X of circuit 20 is fed through an amplifier 46 to a brake pressure modulator 38 and also provides a signal to trigger the circuit 52.
