1278554 Indexing WERKZEUGMASCHINENKOMBINAT "7 OKTOBER" VEB 3 Feb 1971 3810/71 Heading B3B A dividing and indexing device for a tool or workpiece holder 14 which is held in an indexed position by a spring-loaded pin 15 is characterized in that a motor M is operatively connected through a worm and wheel drive 6, 7 to drive, via a gear transmission 8, 9, 10, either a first drive train 9, 3, 11, 12, 13 through a first electromagnetic clutch K2 for a fast rotation of driveshaft 5 and holder 14, or a second drive train 10, U, 12, 13 through a second electromagnetic clutch K3 for a crawling rotation of the shaft 5 and holder 14, in addition to which the motor M drives through a third electromagnetic clutch K1 an indexing cam 19 and lever 18 to release the pin 15 prior to indexing rotation of the holder 14. Switches E1-E5 control the operation of clutches and pin, and the indexed positions of the holder 14. The pin 15 provides the final accurate index position.
