Abstract
1278060 Securing on shafts DEMAG AG 4 Nov 1969 [21 Jan 1969] 54063/69 Heading F2U On the end of a shaft 3, having either splines (7), Fig. 3a (not shown) or a key 17, is slid axially first a ring 4 with a complementary bore -e.g. with splines (6) or a keyway 18-which is then slightly rotated to locate the ring axially, a hub 2 of a gear-box (e.g. of the sun gear of a planetary gear train 1) is then slid along the splines or key of the shaft 3 and located by screws 14 axially located (e.g. in holes or slots by integral collars 16) in the ring. The ring 4 may clear the key or splines at 8 when they are of a reduced height and when the ring abuts a shoulder 9 on the shaft 3.
