Abstract

1277932 Mop squeezing apparatus S C JOHNSON & SON Inc 19 May 1970 [28 July 1969] 37855/69 Heading A4F A mop squeezing apparatus comprises a frame 16, 17 to which is secured a reaction plate 22 against which a mop fringe is positioned, e.g. on hooks 21, to be squeezed by a roller 29 carried by arms 28 secured to a rod 26 rotatable in blocks slidable in guideways 25 on the side walls 17 of the frame towards and away from the reaction plate 22, and towards which they are urged by tension springs 30. The arms 28 are connected by links 38 to plates 34 welded to the arms 35 of twin operating levers 33 which are movable to bring the roller from a position spaced from the reaction plate 22 into engagement with the mop fringe to press the fringe against the plate 22 and roll over it. The apparatus is mounted on a tub 4 mounted on a wheeled chassis 10 carrying two further tubs 12, 13.
