Framework. - A device for anchoring bracing- ties comprises a dished plate having a depression to fit over a strut and an annular curved part perforated for the passage of the ties, which have enlarged heads seated in the plate, the holes in the plate being larger than the ties to permit variation of angle. Fig. 1 shows a plate E perforated at g for the passage of tie-connexions G which have hemispherical heads H seated in washers I conforming to the shape of the plate. The centre of the disk has a reflexed depression to receive a strut socket D having a pin F as described in Specification 126,040, and fitted with a bolt C by which the device is secured to a spar B. The heads H have lugs i through which a ring L is passed to prevent rotation. Fig. 6 shows a modification in which the plate, strut socket, and bolt are in one piece. The heads H' of the tie-connexions have transverse pins h engaging slots in the washers I to prevent rotation. A tie T adapted to act in tension and compression is shown abutting against a sleeve t seated on the outside of the plate E. A modification is described in which the device is secured by bolts passed through an outer flange on the disk. To prevent rotation, the holes g may be elongated radially to engage plates or flats on the head of the tie-connexion.
