Tyres, pneumatic.-To allow the ready removal of an air-tube without disturbing the security bolts, these bolts are made with only one wing. Fig. 1 shows the security bolt used with a detachable rim, in which the head a is slightly raised as at c and has a single wing b. The screwed stem d is fixed to the head by two collars, and the clamping- put e bears against the rim and may have a circular extension passing through the rim to engage a considerable number of threads. When used with a fixed rim, Fig. 4, the stem is made fast with the head and passes through a hole in the felloe, which is lined with a bush f ending in a bevelled collar g.
