Abstract

1276502 Vitreous calcium silicate ALBRIGHT & WILSON Ltd 26 June 1969 [28 June 1968] 31035/68 Heading C1A [Also in Division C3] A calcium silicate glass is produced by reacting Ca 3 (PO 4 ) 2 with sand and a reducing agent to form phosphorus vapour and a molten calcium silicate slag, and chilling the slag to form a glass. The glass may alternatively be prepared by reacting lime and sand in an arc furnace and chilling the molten product.
