Abstract

1276025 Transistor multivibrator circuits MOHAWK DATA SCIENCES CORP 29 Oct 1969 [9 Dec 1968] 53034/69 Heading H3T A monostable or freerunning multivibrator has a capacitor C2 discharged, for example by transistor 25, in response to an AND gate 22 receiving simultaneously an input pulse and a feedback voltage from a stable 26, the latter being reset by the voltage change on the discharged capacitor C2, thus removing one input from the AND gate and allowing the capcitor C2 to recharge, through for example R2. When the voltage across C2 reaches a certain level the bistable is set, and either the multivibrator is ready to respond to the next pulse at 20 for monostable action; or else, if a steady voltage is maintained at 20, the cycle continuously repeats to give a stable operation. The resistor R3 is omitted for monostable operation.
