Abstract

1275247 Transistor circuits with inductive loads LICENTIA PATENT VERWALTUNGS GmbH 27 July 1970 [29 July 1969] 36276/70 Heading H3T In a circuit in which an inductive load R (e.g. a relay with a switch S controlling a lamp L1) is energized through a transistor T1, the diode normally provided across the load to shunt the back e.m.f. is constituted by the collector/base path of a second transistor T2, the base of T2 being connected to the collector of T1. The object is to ensure that only a fraction of the current for a network R2 passes through the relay, so that this current does not hold on the relay when T1 is turned off. The network R2 may comprise components connected to the base of a third transistor in a monostable or astable trigger circuit. The circuit may be in integrated form.
