Abstract

1,273,803. Hooks. K. N. RUDD. 21 July, 1970 [25 Aug., 1969; 7 Nov., 1969], Nos. 42238/69 and 54598/69. Heading E2A. [Also in Division A4] A unitary hook I or eye for attachment to an end of a helically wound curtain wire 3 is provided with a shroud 5 which is in spaced relation to and surrounds at least part of the length of the shank portion 2 thereof, the shank portion being formed for insertion into the bore of the wire. The hook or eye may be formed of a metal or plastics material and the shroud of plastics material. The hook or eye, if made of plastics material, may be integral with the shroud and the shank thereof may be smooth. The eye may be made from a flat, rectangular sheet as also may be the hook (Figs. 2a to 2c, not shown). The hook may be U-shaped with the shank either extending axially from or at right angles to one of the arms. The arm from which the shank extends may be shorter than the other arm. A cap, with or without a shroud is disclosed for covering the hook of the hook (Figs. 3a to 3c not shown). (For Figure see next page)
