Abstract

1,273,533. Endless conveyer drive system. MHS INTERNATIONAL Inc. 15 May, 1969 [7 March, 1968], No. 11268/68. Heading B8A. [Also in Division F2] In an endless conveyer drive system of the kind in which there is provided a main endless band 10, a subsidiary endless driving band 14 and a back-up bar 17 which is engageable with a driving stretch of the band 14 to maintain it in driving engagement with the main band, the back-up bar 17 is adjustable away from the main endless band 10 to an inoperative position in which it takes up the slack in the subsidiary band, by engaging the return run 14a of the latter. The bar 17 is carried by members 18 adjustably mounted on spindles 20 carried by the main frame 12. The band 10 comprises an endless chain, and the subsidiary band 14 is an endless chain carrying dogs (not shown).
