Abstract

1,273,317. Drafting device. N. SCHLUMBERGER & CIE. 26 June, 1970 [11 July, 1969], No. 31008/70. Headings DID and D1N. A fibre processing element comprises a flexible tubular member 1 fattened into a figure of 8 having one lobe thereof inserted in a slotted tube 4 and located there by a locking rod 5. The width of slot in the tube being less than the diameter of the lobe fitted with the locking rod. The element can be releasably fastened to a driving chain (Figs. 2-5). Each link of the chain may support one or more elements. The element can be used in a drawing machine, see Specification 1,232,919, or for cleaning drawing members by means of a scraping action. The drawing operation may be carried out by rollers, aprons or pins.
