Abstract

1,273,144. Resistors. E.M.I. Ltd. 13 June, 1969 [15 March, 1968], No. 12589/68. Heading H1S. A strip of resistive material 2 is formed on an insulating support and a conductive terminal 3, of copper for example, is formed at one end. The resistance is measured between the terminal 3 and a probe moved along the strip until a desired value is found at a position marked at 5. Conductive material is then applied between the mark and the other end of the strip. Thus the strip may be masked up to the mark and copper applied electrolytically. The strips 2 may be of stainless steel or " Eureka " (Registered Trade Mark) on a support of glass fibre reinforced epoxy resin.
