Abstract
1,273,120. Line lime-base supply circuits. PYE Ltd. 5 Feb., 1971, No. 4032/71. Heading H3T. [Also in Division H2] A driver stage of a line time-base derives its power supply from the line output transformer and starting is effected by a further supply including a semi-conductor device which disconnects the further supply when the supply from the time base becomes available. As shown, a mains supply provided through rectifier 27 supplies the line output stage W3, TS5, TS6 and initially the reactor, oscillator and buffer TS1, TS2, TS3 stages via a diac D. A winding W2 on the transformer provides a D.C. supply for these stages via rectifier system 15 to 20 and when its voltage approaches the supply derived from the mains the voltage across the diac falls to a low value and it becomes conducting. The mains supply for the driven stages is derived via a potentiometer 31, 32 of high resistance which charges 33 capacitor with sufficient energy to initiate operation. A negative D.C. supply may be derived from 18.
