[Also in Division A2] A coffee packet for brewing coffee comprises a pouch of water permeable material, for example rayon, polypropylene, polyacrylic, polyester, nylon, cotton, hemp, or mixtures thereof, which may be woven or non-woven and preferably have an average pore size of 5-1000 microns and a thickness of 0À002-0À012 inch, containing coffee flakes obtained by roll-milling roasted, preferably ground, coffee, which flakes preferably have a thickness of 0À0005-0À030 inch and a density of 0À40-0À60 grams/cc. The pouches may be made by heat-sealing using a heat-sealable binder.
