Abstract
1,272,943. Road surface markers. TUCKER ASSOCIATES Inc. 2 April, 1969, No. 17407/ 69. Heading E1G. [Also in Division G2] A directional arrow head road marker comprises an irregular substantially tetrahedral pyramid on a triangular or blunted triangular base having two equal major edges from which extend adjoining inclined faces. Typically these faces are equally inclined to the base and carry reflex reflectors as 31 which may be coloured reflecting green rearwardly from the point of the arrow head and optionally also red in the direction of the arrow. Figs. 12 to 16, not shown, show roads with traffic lanes defined by such road markers, the body of which may be of moulded synthetic e.g. acrylic resin and which may be fixed to the road by epoxy resin adhesive. Coloured glass covers may be applied over the reflex reflector elements formed by moulding in the body.
