Abstract
1,272,187. Display stands. GRAPHIC TREND ASSOCIATES Ltd. 26 Nov., 1970 [28 Jan., 1970; 3 June, 1970], Nos. 4195/70 and 26771/70. Heading G5C. A display stand comprises two panels 12, 13 folded vertically at 11 and transversely at lines 14-18. Two spring-loaded links 19, 20 are associated with the stand, the link 19 comprising a flap 21, cut from the panel 12, having notches 23, 24 to hold one end of an elastic band 31. The other end of the band engages in a slot 28 in a wedge-shaped member 25 attached to the panel 13 by a portion 29. The stand can be folded up by laying the panels 12, 13 flat and placing the flap 21 and member 25 flat with the panels, upon which the stand can be folded concertina style, Fig. 4 (not shown). In a second embodiment, Fig. 5, the panels 42, 43, folded at 41, 45 and 46, are pulled into the desired position by an elastic band 52 acting between flaps 50, 51 on the flanges 47, 48. The band 52 carries a loose panel 56 to limit the movement of the panels 42, 43, and a display strip 55 serves to hide the band 52. A tray can be supported by the panel 56 or alternatively by a series of lugs 58-60. The stand can be packaged by laying the panels 42, 43 and flanges 47, 48 flat with the display strip 55, and folding concertina style along transverse fold lines.
