Abstract

1,271,328. Orienting articles. INSTITUT FIZIKI AN LATVIISKOI SSR. 17 Dec., 1969 [25 Dec., 1968], No. 61632/69. Heading B8S. Non-magnetic electrically conducting articles are oriented as they move through a magnetic field produced by an electromagnet supplied with alternating current and having polepieces 3, 4, Fig. 1, with faces which diverge in the direction of movement of the articles. The bodies are delivered oriented either touching or separated from one another depending on the relative velocities of the feed and delivery conveyers. The latter may be vibratory or endless.
