Abstract
1,270,854. Recording-apparatus. HASLER A.G. June 5, 1969 [June 5, 1968], No.28484/69. Heading G1J. [Also in Division B6] A ruling comb 31 made solely of resilient material is arranged across the width of a record strip 12 in a recording measuring instrument to mark reference lines 30 thereon as the strip is moved lengthwise e. g. while two styli 19 record graphs 20, 21. The comb 31 is made of springy bronze or steel sheet and blades 33 remaining between excisions have raised pressed-out scribing portions 34 or one or two scribing edges 36 each bent over at right-angles, which may be given a hard coating e.g. by chromium plating for protection against wear and/or corrosion. The record surface may be a wax coating and scribing pressure is obtained by off-setting the blades 33 at 31a, 31b or flat blades 33 may be pre-loaded by a raised fin on the casing wall 10. A guide roller 14, between the supply and takeup rolls 11, 16, is mounted on a pivoted carrier 17 which can be drawn downwards for insertion of the strip 12.
