[Also in Division F2] A vehicle anti-snaking device for use between towing and towed vehicles comprises a lever 1 pivoted about a vertical shaft 2 between a pair of friction pads 7, 8, the backing plates 3, 9 of which are located by columns 4, and the free end of which lever has a hook 10 depending therefrom located between adjustable stops 14, 15 on a rod 13 such that with a towing hitch located between clamping plates 5, 6 and the free end of rod 13 pivoted at 16 to the towing vehicle snaking motion between the towing andtowed vehicles is clamped by pivoting of the lever 1 between the friction pads. Screw devices 20-22 adjust the contact pressure between the pads and the lever. A further arrangement may be provided on the other side of the towing hitch.
