In an adaptor fitted to a pressure measuring device A, having a pressure sensing wall, a diaphragm 3 is spaced from the pressure sensing wall to define a chamber; between the diaphragm 3 and the pressure sensing wall, containing a pressure transmitting medium, such as a resilient element 4, liquid or gas; and the arrangement is such that the pressure transmitting medium and/or the diaphragm 3 can be replaced by another or others so that the proportion of the pressure acting on the diaphragm and sensed by the pressure sensing wall can be regulated.
