Abstract

1,268,439. Stamping. ANCHOR HOCKING CORP. 28 March, 1969 [1 April, 1968], No. 16450/69. Heading B3Q. [Also in Division B8] A metal blank 4 used to form a closure cap (see Division B8) is formed with a notch 7. This notch relieves stress in the metal during drawing of the closure shell when the flat blank 4 is drawn into its cup shape during the cap formation.
