Abstract

1,267,237. Printing apparatus. STORK AMSTERDAM N.V. 27 May, 1969, No. 26809/69. Heading B6C. A metal strip squeegee blade 5 is provided with a holder 4, itself in a support 3 which can be attached to the frame of a rotary screen printing machine, and has a thickness between 0À1% and 2À0% of its width protruding from the holder 4. The squeegee assembly 2 may be supported within a cylindrical stencil 8 by suspension members 1, located at the ends of the stencil 8 and holding a support 3 in the form of a tube. The suspension members 1 may be pneumatic cylinders, by which the squeegee assembly 2 can be raised and lowered, while an arm 14 locates it with respect to the stencil 8. The squeegee blade 5 may be of stainless steel, and be located in a nickel stencil. Sheets or a web are fed between the cylindrical stencil 8 and an impression cylinder 6 by belt 7. They may be printed on in succession by a plurality of stencils.
