Abstract
1,266,740. Bottle-carriers. OLINKRAFT Inc. 22 Dec., 1969 [17 March, 1969], No. 62405/69. Heading B8C. A bottle-carrier comprises a V-shaped centre panel 1 flanked by panels 7, 8 which cover the crowns 32, 33 of bottles 36 and which are pivotally connected to side panels 11, 12 secured to the bottles 36 at 34, 35, by heat sealing or adhesive. The bottles may be secured together transversely of the carrier at 37<SP>1</SP> and at (38, 38<SP>1</SP>, Fig. 6, not shown) longitudinally of the carrier. The carrier is cut so that the centre panel 1 engages below the crowns 32, 33 and has a handle portion 17 defined by score lines 18-27 (only lines 19, 25, 21, 27 shown in Fig. 2) so as to deflect upwardly when the carrier is lifted by means of finger holes 39, 40. The handle portion 17 is provided with cut-out blocking members 30, 31 which engage beneath the crowns of the bottles adjacent the handle section 17.
