Abstract

126,636. Aktiebolaget Svenska Kullagerfabriken. May 8, 1918. [Convention date]. Axle-bearing guiding-arrangements.-Relates to axle-box constructions for railway &c. vehicles of the type in which in order to lessen the strain in an axial direction between the axle-box guides or vehicle frame and the co-operating flanges on the axle-box, the axle-box is elastically connected to the vehicle frame in the axial direction. According to the invention, laminated springs 4, Figs. 2 and 3, are mounted at their centres on either side of the axle-box 5 and engage at their ends with grooves provided on flanges of slides 3 which bear against the axle-box guides 2 secured to the frame 1, In a modification, Fig. 5, the springs 8 are attached at their centres to yokes 9 rotatable on studs 10 projecting from the sides of the axle-box 7.
