Strainers, applications of.-A strainer for use in a pipe or conduit such as the service branch of the ball-float valve of a flushing cistern, comprises a straining sleeve or cone a having secured at one end a cap or ferrule c with arms d adapted to bear against the inner surface of the conduit and so hold the strainer in position.
