A plurality of pressure rollers 1 are urged against driving rollers 28 and are supported on arms 13 so as to be simultaneously or individually pivoted clockwise away from the driving rollers. As shown, pressure roller 1 is normally urged against driving roller 28 by means of spring 27 acting via pivoted lever 23 pressing on the pin 9 carried by the pivoted roller supporting arm 3. The pressure roller 1 can be released from the driving roller in one of two ways. Firstly, the pressure roller 1 can be released by movement of shaft 18 to the left whereby a stop 21 abuts the roller supporting arm 3 and pivots it clockwise. (The spring 27 and lever 23 is simultaneously moved to the left). A plurality of pressure rollers 1 can thereby be simultaneously disengaged from their respective driving rollers. Secondly, the pressure roller can be disengaged from the driving roller 28 by pivoting lever 13 and pin 9 behind lever 23 (Fig. 2) and then pivoting the roller supporting arm 3 clockwise. A single pressure roller can thereby be disengaged from its associated driving roller without affecting other pressure rollers.
