Abstract

1,249,030. Clamps. M. VON BUSHE and T. ALTENBRACHT [trading as TH. KIESERLING & ALBRECHT], 13 Oct., 1969 [9 Jan., 1969], No. 50275/69. Heading E2B. [Also in Division G1] A clamp comprises a semi-circular disc 12 which normally occupies a position below its shaft 11. When the disc is rotated in an anticlockwise direction, a tube 5 or 5a on a grating 13 rolls across the diametral edge 12a of the disc and into a recess 10 in a support 9. The disc then clamps the tube between the edge 12a and the recess 10. Reverse rotation of the disc causes a roller 15 to lift a pivoted arm 16 which lifts the tube out of the recess 10.
