Abstract

1,263,802. Plumb lines. MANUFACTURE QUENOT "MABO". March 13, 1969 [July 11, 1968], No.13281/69. Heading G1F. A plumb line comprises a casing 10 in which can be wound a string 11 holding a plumb bob 12, the casing having a bearing surface 14 and an upper surface 15 normal thereto, a bubble level 13 being disposed in the upper surface so as to check the verticality of the surface 14. The distance between the surface 14 and the string 11 is the same as the greatest radius of the plumb bob 12. In an alternative arrangement a member similar to the casing 10 is provided but the string passes through a central hole in this member, and magnets may be secured to the bearing surface thereof for use with metallic constructions.
