Abstract
1,263,307. View-finders. RICOH K. K. May 23, 1969 [May 30, 1968], No.26333/69. Heading G2A. A pentaprism view-finder 1A has a focusing plate 3A and an eye-piece 2A, a photo-electric element 5A being mounted with respect to the view-finder so as to view along a rectilinear path through the view-finder a predetermined portion of the focusing plate without detracting from light passing along the main viewing light path through the view-finder. A parallel sided glass plate 7 is positioned between prism surface 1cA and an eye-piece 2A, and a condenser lens 6A focuses light from a point PA in the focusing plate on to the photo-electric element. The pentaprism may be replaced by mirrors formed on the interior surfaces of a hollow plastics mounting, the glass plate 7 being omitted.
