Abstract

1,262,518. Stabilized burned bauxite. DIDIER-WERKE A.G. 27 June, 1969 [28 June, 1968], No. 32665/69. Heading C1A. In the production of a stabilized burned bauxite, dicalcium silicate and/or calcium aluminate is added to the bauxite, prior to burning, in a proportion by weight of between 0À5 and 4%. The subsequent burning process is preferably performed at a temperature between 1400‹ and 1650‹ C. The stabilized burned bauxite may then be incorporated into compositions or shapes such as a refractory brick.
