Abstract

1,262,374. Gas scrubber. CURCHOD BAERISWYL & CIE S.A: 1 May, 1969, No. 22322/ 69. Heading B1R. In a gas scrubber gas entering at 4 is deflected downwardly by a baffle 5 the lower edge of which dips below the surface of a body of liquid in the part 2 of the scrubber and is joined to a saw-tooth baffle 6, the gas after passing through the water flows beneath the baffle 6 to an outlet. The position of the teeth of baffle 6 may be adjusted and in another embodiment two sets of baffles are provided in a chamber the gas passing the baffles in parallel.
