1,262,154. Thermographic materials and processes. RICOH K.K. Feb. 4, 1969 [Feb. 5, 1968], No. 5953/69. Heading G2C. A wrinkled image which only transmits 25À40% of visible light is produced in a polyethylene film 10-150 microns thick which transmits at least 60% of visible light by imagewise exposing the film to heat; the background areas remaining at least 60% transmissive of visible light. In the examples a sheet of medium- or high-density transparent polyethylene 25-50 microns thick is placed on an original and exposed to infrared radiation to produce a wrinkled image corresponding to the original. The image produced may be projected to show a dark image.
