Abstract

1,224,178. Viewfinder reticles. EASTMAN KODAK CO. Feb.22, 1968 [Feb.24, 1967], No.8697/68. Headings G2A and G2J. A reticle for use in an Albada viewfinder comprises a photographic film sheet 5 having thereon a transparent frame 6 on an opaque background 8, and a transparent central area 7. The frame 6 is covered by a layer of reflective material 9. The reticle is mounted in a finder system as in Fig.1, between the eye-piece 2 and the objective 1, with the layer 9 facing the eye-piece. The system also includes a mask 3 and mirror 4. The frame line 6 is projected to infinity, and viewed through the central area 7, without ghost images, because of the opaque background 8. A series of such reticles may be made on a long strip of film by a photographic process.
