Abstract

1,259,939. Pipe connectors. POLITRAPS Ltd. and L. PIJANOWSKI. 30 Nov., 1970, No. 56853/70. Heading F2G. A U-shaped or J-shaped pipe connector 1 of mouldable material, with integral legs 2, 4 and connecting bend 3, has a telescopically slidable extension pipe 20 within one leg. The extension pipe 20 is within an enlarged portion 2e of leg 2, which has a threaded end 2f for an adjustment nut 21 to vary the effective length of leg 2 plus pipe 20. A swivel piece 6 is attached to leg 4, or to an extension piece fixed to leg 4. The connector is moulded by a method as described in Specification 1,129,049, and the extension member 20 is inserted into leg 2. At the base of the connector 1, there is a threaded outlet fitted with a screw stopper.
