[Also in Division C3] Brass, copper, zinc, bronze, iron, chromium, nickel, and stainless or galvanised steel are coated with a composition for producing a weldable, corrosion-resistant coating which comprises a polymeric or polymerisable vehicle (many being specified) and an atomised aluminium powder pigment of finer than 100 U.S.S. mesh in a volume concentration of at least 10 per cent but less than 40 per cent based upon the dry coating. The atomized aluminium powder is prepared by blowing molten aluminium through fine atomising nozzles and collecting the powder directly from the atomising nozzle. In the Examples cold rolled steel panels are coated.
