Abstract

1,258,243. Air cushion vehicles. BRITISH HOVERCRAFT CORP. Ltd. 5 June, 1969 [10 June, 1968], No. 27452/68. Heading B7K. A load supporting and transporting platform 11 is supported by at least one air cushion 12 in part bounded by a flexible diaphragm 13 forming chambers 15, 12 supplied with gas under pressure through tube 16 and valve 17. An elastic member 19 forming a continuous restraining web is fitted into the chamber 15 and is connected between the platform and the portion of the diaphragm adjacent the surface 21.
