Abstract

1,258,199. Boots &c. J. RIEKER [trading as DR. JUSTUS RIEKER & CO.], 9 June, 1970 [8 July, 1969], No. 30017/70. Heading A3B. An insert member for fitting within a boot or shoe, e.g. a ski boot, includes a cap portion 3 and a tongue portion 1. The cap 3 has rearwardly extending sides 6 and is connected to the tongue portion 1 by a flexible portion 2. The insert may be integrally moulded from a foamed material, e.g. polyurethane foam or foam rubber, and may have a cover layer, e.g. of leather. The thickness of the cap 3 and tongue 1 may be selected so as to ensure a good fit for an oversize boot or shoe.
