Abstract

1,258,083. Feeding webs. GAF CORP. 23 Jan., 1969 [26 Jan., 1968], No. 3919/69. Heading B8R. A receptacle 10 for guiding a continuous web of original paper to a photocopy reproduction apparatus 12 is adapted to be invertibly mountable on the apparatus 12; when mounted in a first position as shown the tray 10 comprises a generally trough shaped portion 28 for receiving a roll W of the paper web, and a first guide surface 16 for guiding the web into the apparatus 12. The receptacle 10 is provided with two flanges 56, 58 and in the first position the flange 56 is received in a narrow gap 52 defined by a supporting bracket 44 and a spacer 50 which are fixed to the apparatus 12. In the second, inverted, position of the receptacle 10, the flange 58 is received by the gap 52 so that the receptacle 10 then provides a second, extended, guide surface 22, 24 for the guiding to the apparatus 12 of originals of varying lengths (Fig. 2, not shown).
