Abstract
1,257,585. Combing cylinder. NAKAGAWA SEISAKUSHO CO. Ltd. 11 May, 1970 [19 May, 1969], No. 22688/70. Heading D1N. A needle assembly for a combing cylinder comprises a plurality of flat needles having dovetail recesses 54 in their shanks arranged side-by-side with the needle heads 52 in spaced relationship and the dovetail recesses 54 forming a continuous dovetail slot. There is a strip 57 engaged in the slot to hold the needles together. The needles can have a spacer (Fig. 5) between each of them, or the needles can have thickened shanks. A triangular sectioned portion 58 on each needle may engage in a slot (16) in the comb body (Fig. 1). Each needle may have two combing heads on a single shank (Fig. 7).
