Abstract

1,256,591. Drawer runners. L. W. L. ALSTON. June 2, 1970 [May 8, 1969], No.23458/69. Heading A4B. A drawer runner 1 for engaging a groove in a drawer side is provided at one or both ends with a cam or eccentric 10 which is rotatable by engaging and end slot 13 for a screwdriver, the eccentric 10 being mounted in a recess 8 and protruding to an extent which is adjustable by its rotation. The runner is secured through screw holes 3 to a cabinet side and the eccentric 10 bears on the base of the drawer groove. The eccentric 10 may comprise a cylinder mounted eccentrically on a shaft 11, 12 which is a push fit in bearings 9 in the recess. One end 12 of the shaft is knurled to prevent inadvertent rotation. The runner and eccentric may be of moulded plastics.
