Abstract
1,256,413. Paddle dyeing machine. ROME MACHINE & FOUNDRY CO. 9 Jan., 1969 [7 June, 1968], No. 1470/69. Heading D1L. An enclosed paddle dyeing apparatus adapted to be loaded with textile goods from the rear and unloaded from the front comprises an open-top vat, a perforated basket of the same shape within the vat, the front of the basket being hinged to the front of the vat, a vat cover carried by the basket and comprising slidably opening front and rear doors, a plurality of paddles rotatably mounted on the basket, and basket lifting means. The doors may be manually or hydraulically operated. As shown, a vat 11 contains a basket 20 which may be hydraulically pivoted about a pin 26. On the basket is mounted a plurality of paddles 28 and a cover comprising hydraulically slidable doors 34 and 35, a vapour tight bridging member 36, and end plates 38 and (39).
