Abstract

1,256,330. Electro-medical apparatus. EUROPEAN ATOMIC ENERGY COMMUNITY. June 4, 1970 [June 19, 1969], No.27045/70. Heading GIN. Electric signals generated in a living body, e.g. E.M.G. signals, are transmitted outside the body by a transmission coil which includes a high permeability core 1 and a coil 2 whose ends terminate in gold electrodes 5, 6 which pickup the signals e.g. by implantation in a muscle. The transmitted signals are received by a coil disposed co-axially on the skin, the signals then being applied to an amplifier via filters. The transmission coil is covered by a plastics film 7.
