Abstract

1,255,666. Pressurized dispensing containers. E. GOLDBERGER. May 29, 1969 [May 31, 1968], No. 27202/69. Heading F1R. A pressurized dispensing container comprising a can 2, has a support 5 for an applicator element 6 which may be a sponge, a valve unit 4 for controlling flow to the applicator and a valve actuating member 7 movable independantly of the support 5 and the applicator element 6. In the embodiment shown a presser 9 levers the actuating member 7 against a stop 13 to open the valve unit 4 and material from the container passes to the sponge 6 via a tube 8. A protective cap 14 is mounted over the edge of the support 5. In a modification Fig. 3 (not shown) the actuating member comprises an intermediate member (15) upon which slides an actuating member (18) to open the valve unit 4. In another embodiment Fig. 4 (not shown) the sponge (20) is disposed at an angle and the valve actuating member (21) is comprised of a bent tube (21a) and a press pin (21b). In the arrangement of Fig.5 (not shown) by angularly displacing the lever (24a) the valve unit 4 may be opened or closed. In further embodiments Figs. 6, 7 (not shown) the supports (27), (28) may be secured either on the outer or inner edge of a bead (31a) of the valve holder (31).
