Abstract

1,254,829. Thrust reversers. ROLLS-ROYCE Ltd. 24 March, 1970, No. 14192/70. Heading B7G. A gas turbine engine has thrust reversing doors 20, 22 mounted on a jet exhaust duct 18, which deflect a major portion of the jet efflux while the remainder passes through the gap between edges 36, 38 of the doors. The doors are operated by rams 26 via fork links 28 and the doors form part of the engine cowling.
