Abstract

In a differential pressure or flow monitoring device fluid flowing in the direction of an arrow 2 lifts a flow ring 5 to move a switching magnet 8 towards an oppositely polarized magnet 8, either spring-loaded or attached to the member 12, to actuate encapsulated reed contacts 14. A cap 13, provided with a pilot light 16 can be moved in the direction of the arrow to alter the position of actuation of the contacts 14. In a pressure monitoring device the magnet ativating the contacts 14 may be actuated by a diaphragm or a bellows. The contacts 14 may be replaced by a semiconductor device, such as field plates, a Hall generator or a mercury type magnet switch.
