1,254,746. Transistor logic circuits. TOKYO SHIBAURA ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. 27 June, 1969 [3 July, 1968], No. 32586/69. Heading H3T. An "exclusive OR" or "PARITY" circuit comprises input terminals for two signals, each connected to the emitter of a corresponding one of two transistors and through a diode to the base of the other. As shown, only when the input signals differ by more than the threshold voltage of a transistor and a diode does a transistor conduct and so cut off output transistor 12. The voltage dropping diode may be replaced by a transistor connected as a diode or by an emitter follower.
