1,254,558. Dyeing polyesters with disperse dyes. IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. 12 Sept., 1969 [25 Sept., 1968], No. 45528/68. Heading D1B. Aromatic polyester textile materials are dyed with aqueous dispersions of disperse dyes in presence of polyvinylpyrrolidone, preferably 0.1-10% by weight based on the polyester being used. A package dyeing process may be employed and the polyester material may be given a pretreatment in hot aqueous medium containing the polyvinylpyrrolidone.
