Abstract
1,253,131. Open-hearth steelmaking. MOSKOVSKY ORDENA TRUDOVOGO KRASNOGO ZNAMENI INSTITUT STALI I SPLAVOV. March 18, 1969, No. 14039/69. Heading C7D. Molten iron is poured on to flux previously charged to the hearth, and oxygen blown through to raise the temperature to 1550-1575C. ; scrap is then added at such a rate that the bath temperature does not fall below 1500C.
